How this website works!
No dozing off, now!
Read a homily > Comment > Your ideas will be inserted in the original homily in red fonts, and you will be given credit for it!
The franciscanpreacher website is designed to share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ by making homilies available to our visitors for each day within the three-year Roman Catholic Liturgical Cycle A, B, and C. These homilies will be unique in that they will be adorned with a Franciscan spirituality, but not only--they will potentially have your input as well included in them for future visitors to the website. Yes, you are encouraged and will be able to contribute to any homily you think information could be added to.
Drawing on such themes as the Incarnation, the Humanity of Christ, Minority, Humility, Simplicity, The Eucharist, Conversion, Prayer, God and Creation, the Blessed Virgin Mary, Relying on the Providence of God, etc, our homilies will include allusions to the life of St Francis of Assisi, the Founder of the Order of Friars Minor.
You are encouraged to comment on any homily and shed light on it, so that if the editors deem fit, they will include your insights in red fonts within an edited version of the homily which will then be available to all other future visitors of the website -- something like wikipedia, except better, because it's Franciscan! In time, we will also have a section of audio-visual homilies and prayer as well.
